Hello and welcome to the Truth War. In the age we live in, it is actually offensive to claim there is such thing as objective truth. Postmodernity and religions that pander to pluralism have attacked the idea that it is possible for there to be one truth. Just the name of this website might upset the postmodern mind which claims that truth cannot be known or proven. With so many different religions how can anyone claim they are right? How many roads lead to God? Can everyone be right or do some people have to be wrong? I hope that you will lay aside your presuppositions for a moment and read about The Truth.
John MacArthur has written a book titled The Truth War. Dr. MacArthur explains that "truth is under attack, and it's going on within the boundaries of evangelicalism. There's a lot at stake and there's no middle ground—no safe zone for the uncommitted in this war."
John MacArthur has written this book to unveil the enemy's tactics and equip you to fight. Check out the website and watch the video to see what you will learn in this great book.

Many Holy books claim to have the sole authority on spiritual matters. Logically, only one can be right. The Bible claims that Jesus Christ is the one and only true God. The God of the Bible is one God, but made up of three persons: The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. The Bible speaks of one God (monotheism) but that God has revealed himself in 3 person's (The Holy Trinity).
The Bible speaks of God's Law or more commonly known as the Ten Commandments. Here is a big question. would the God of the Bible find you to be good in light of the ten commandments? Can you even name any of them? Here are just a few. Have you always kept God first in your life?[1] Have you ever told a lie?[2] Have you ever stolen?[3] The value is irrelevant, God sees your heart. Have you ever looked with lust?[4] The Bible says that if you look with lust, you have committed adultery in your heart. Have you ever hated someone?[5] The Bible says if you have then God sees you as a murderer at heart! God does not play around with his law, he sees the heart as well as the action being performed and will judge you according to every thought and deed.[6] Feel free to look at the rest of the ten commandments. If you are honest you will see that you have in fact broken all of Gods laws. What should a holy, perfect, righteous and just God do with law breaking criminals? Most people would reply "forgive and forget because God loves everyone". This answer could not be farther from The Truth. The Bible says that "all of sinned and fallen short of the glory of God"[7] This means that every single human being has sinned (broken God's laws) and fallen short . This means that God expect human beings to be perfect![8] Because no human can be perfect, we are left with a dilemma. How can a man be made right in a holy God's sight?
The answer is Jesus. Don't check out yet, do not let the familiarity of Jesus allow you to miss this. Around 2000 years ago, God came to earth in the form of a man. He was born of a virgin miraculously by the power of God the Holy Spirit.[9] Jesus was fully God and also fully man, this means that he was tempted to sin in every way we have but never sinned.[10] Jesus was taken by the Jews and the Romans to be crucified for claiming to be God. This was the preordained plan of God before the foundations of the world.[11] God sacrificed his son on the Cross as a payment for mankind's sin.[12] God is an infinite being, and when mankind sinned we broke His laws which deserve infinite punishment. God cannot just "forgive and forget", someone MUST be punished. If God just let law breakers go, he would no longer be just or loving.[13] Imagine if someone you loved was brutally murdered and then the judge said to the criminal "I am sure your sorry, just don't do it again. I am a loving judge so I will let you go." You would be furious at the corrupt judge, you would demand him fired for his injustice. How much more holy and just is God?
Jesus Christ was brutally murdered on the cross as a payment for sins. He took the wrath of God on himself so that sinners would not have to. Imagine for a moment YOU were the person in court for murder. You stand before the judge as a guilty criminal awaiting your sentence, you shiver from fear waiting for the gavel to slam down in final judgment. The judge tells you that the fine for your crime is death. Just as he is about to lead you away to the electric chair someone you don't know walks in and tells the judge that they love you and are willing to die for you instead. This is very similar to what happened on the cross. Jesus took the punishment for everyone who puts their trust in what he did on the cross. Just having a mental assent or agreement with what Jesus did is not enough. You must turn from your sins and forsake them. Imagine if you were a pig, and you were happily drinking pig slop. What would your reaction be if you suddenly turned back into a human? You would gag and vomit in disgust. If God has done a work in your heart, then you will hate your sins and find them more repulsive than pig slop. Jesus said "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."[14] When a person is born again, they are given a new heart with new desires. God takes out your old heart which is rebellious and sin loving. When you are born again the first thing you will want to do is run away from your sins and run toward Jesus Christ for forgiveness. Repentance is turning away from your old life and turning in faith towards Jesus Christ. Trust in Jesus for your salvation, please don't trust in your good works, church attendance, Bible reading, penance, confession or even doing church ceremonies like baptism or the mass. Repent of your sin and trust in Jesus. God will remove your death sentence and grant you everlasting life. If you refuse Jesus you will have to pay for your own sins in hell for eternity.God cannot let sins go unpunished.
